A Narberth man ended up in the cells when his mother locked him out of the house while she went to Bingo.
Angelo Edwards, of Garfield Gardens, appeared from custody at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, April 24.
The court heard that Edwards, 33, was subject to a 6pm to 8am curfew, while waiting to stand trial.
Dennis Davies, prosecuting, told the bench that Edwards was ‘doomed to fail’ and did everything he could once he returned home to find his mother had gone out, leaving him unable to access the property on April 23.
Edwards denied breaching the requirement, and the prosecution withdrew the charge.
Mark Layton, defending, said: “Mr Edwards had to be in by 6pm at his mother’s address. She had gone out to Bingo and he could not get in.”
Mr Layton added that Edwards had immediately called the police about his predicament, and had now moved to a friend’s house.
