A mother and son will go on trial at Swansea crown court today (Monday) charged with murdering 84 year old Betty Guy.
Mrs Guy died on November 7, 2011, and her body was cremated soon afterwards.
Her daughter, Penelope John, aged 50, and her grandson, Barry Rogers, 32, have previously denied her murder and an alternative charge of manslaughter.
The court has previously heard that the prosecution case involved 75 hours of recorded statements made by the defendants.
John, of Maes y Deri, St Dogmaels, and Rogers, of High Street, Fishguard, go on trial at 10.30am.
UPDATE: 11.20am: Legal arguments are expected to take up most of Monday with the main trial due to begin on Tuesday.
