THERE was a large emergency service presence on a residential street in Tiers Cross this weekend following an incident in which a man died.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Residents reported five police cars, two ambulances and the police helicopter near Tudor Place on Saturday (June 27) evening with police remaining outside a house until after 10pm.
One witness reported what they described as a 'body' being taken from the property to an ambulance.
The Dyfed-Powys Police X99 tweeted at 9.39pm: “X99 attended to the Tiers Cross area to carry out a CASEVAC of a patient. Whilst there circumstances changed and patient was taken by road.”
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police were called to an incident at 7.50pm on Saturday, June 27, at Park View, Tiers Cross.
“A 63-year-old man suffered serious head injuries as a result of a fall.
“He was conveyed to Heath Hospital in Cardiff where his condition deteriorated and he sadly passed away at 7.58pm on Sunday, June 28.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
