Nick Hornby and Sarah Waters are among the authors whose "compelling reads" will be delved into by a celebrity panel including Jo Brand, Gok Wan and Laila Rouass in a re-vamped TV Book Club.
The reviewers, who also include Dave Spikey and Nathaniel Parker, are replacing presenting duo Richard and Judy, who previously fronted the club.
Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan took the Book Club with them from Channel 4 to digital channel Watch, but they quit their show by mutual agreement earlier this year after falling viewing figures.
The TV Book Club will return from January next year, to be screened weekly as a 10-part series on More4, with repeats on Channel 4 the following lunchtime.
Ten books, which are tipped to become "must-read" favourites, were announced as the titles in the new series of The TV Book Club.
Produced by Cactus TV, creators of the original Book Club on Richard and Judy, The TV Book Club will review "the most compelling reads for 2010".
Funded by Specsavers, the new series kicks off with Waters's The Little Stranger on Sunday January 17.
The acclaimed author has previously enjoyed success with her books Tipping The Velvet and Fingersmith, winning the South Bank Award for Literature and being named an Author of the Year at the British Book Awards.
Others in the selection of work by "established writers and emerging talents" include Juliet, Naked by Nick Hornby, author of Fever Pitch, About A Boy and High Fidelity.
George Pelecanos, a TV and film producer who has written and produced for the cult hit crime-fighting drama The Wire, also features for his book The Way Home.
