Mr C. W. Reynolds

Monkton

The funeral of Crichton Walter Reynolds took place at Monkton Priory Church on June 2nd. He was 91.

Rev Martin Cox officiated with Canon Colin Bowen and Chancellor Anthony Williams.

The church was filled with friends, representatives of FEPOW, Burma Star, REME, British Legion, Probus, teaching colleagues, past pupils and family.

After the service the standard bearers of the Burma star and Legion, together with the church choir led by Meredith Thomas processed to Monkton cemetery where he was interred with his wife.

Crichton was born in Pembroke Dock and attended the old Coronation school before working for Harris the Draper.

He became a territorial soldier before joining the army.

He was posted to the Far East and was captured at the fall of Singapore in 1942 and was a slave labourer on the notorious death railway'. He worked as an orderly, nursing comrades in a cholera camp before being shipped to Japan. En route to Japan his ship, the Asaka Maru, was sunk in a typhoon but he was rescued and finished the war as a slave labourer in Japan. He recorded these experiences in his book Little Did We Know in 1997 after he retired.

He married Elizabeth Rowlands (Betty) in 1946. Betty predeceased him in 1992.

He joined the Burma Star and FEPOW associations and travelled extensively in his 80s revisiting war time graves.

He trained as a teacher at Redlands College in Bristol and became a teacher at East End school. He was headteacher of Cosheston VC School before retiring He was involved in the NUT church and many local groups, and also helped stage local history exhibitions.

After suffering a heart attack he entered Waungron residential home in 2007 where his niece Joanne cared for him before his death.

During this time he became a great-grandfather to Joshua and Lily.

He was predeceased by his brothers Arthur, Wilson and Frederick and his sisters Agnes, Dorothy and Lucy.

There were family flowers only, but donations in lieu for Monkton Priory Church may be sent to John Roberts and son, Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, who also carried out the funeral arrangements.

Mr A. L. E. Griffiths

Trefin

Aneurin Lawrence Ellis Griffiths, of Penparc, Trefin, died at home aged 90, on June 9th.

He was born in Aberaman, the younger son of Mr and Mrs E. R. Griffiths and the younger brother of Ieuan. When he was nine the family returned to Trefin.

He was educated at Trefin, St David's Grammar School (Ysgol Dewi Sant), and University College Aberystwyth, where he gained a first class Zoology degree by the time he was 20. He trained as a teacher and was appointed science master at St David's School. Aneurin taught there for 36 years, where he was also deputy headteacher and acting headteacher before retiring in 1985.

During his retirement he researched family history, compiling family trees and communicating with descendants in Canada, America, New Zealand, and Australia. He also recorded gravestones in many of north Pembrokeshire's older cemeteries, with the details logged at the National Library in Aberystwyth. He also assisted local newspapers Pentigili and Llien Gwyn.

The funeral on June 14th at Croesgoch Chapel, with the interment at Treteio cemetery was officiated by Rev Emlyn Jones and Rev Carl Williams.

Family left to mourn are: His wife Grace, Dewi and Alwyn (sons), Kym (daughter-in-law), grandchildren Morgan, Rhian and Christina; Catherin (niece) and family, many cousins and in-laws.

The bearers were David Griffiths, John Price, Meredydd Owen and Mark Lewis.

There were family flowers only, with donations in lieu for The Paul Sartori Foundation and Goodwick Surgery, to David Price, Croesgoch, who also carried out the funeral arrangements.

Mrs E. E. North

Clynderwen

In Mrs E. E. North's obituary report (Western Telegraph, June 18th) her sister should have been named as Lorna.

Mr R. R. Morris

Pembroke

The funeral took place on June 19th of Richard Roberts Morris, of Kingston Farm, Pembroke, who died at Withybush Hospital on June 13th, aged 56.

Richard was the elder son of Norman and Mary Morris and was brought up at Loveston Farm, Merrion, Pembroke.

In 1974 he married Annette Harries and the following year they moved to Kingston Farm, Pembroke.

Farming was his life and passion. He was a past chairman of South Pembs YFC and NFU, Pembroke branch. He was also a member of Pembroke Farmers' Club and was a rotarian.

The large attendance at St Twynnell's Church bore testimony to Richard's popularity.

Rev Martin Cox, Rev John Gale and Rev Richard Rees officiated at the funeral and interment.

Family left to mourn are Annette (wife); Michael (son); Angela (daughter); Edward and Betty (brother and sister-in-law); Sara Hill (family friend); Mr and Mrs Michael Harries (father-in-law and mother-in-law); Mrs M. Minchin and Mrs D. Morris (aunts); Mr and Mrs A. Wood and Mr and Mrs M. Howe (sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law); Paul and Claire Morris, John, Peter and Benjamin Howe, John, Ross and Catherine Macleod (nephews and nieces).

The bearers were Richard Mason, Richard Prout, John Nugent, Philip John, Roger Lewis and Gwyn Russell.

Mrs I. Platt

Stepaside

The death of Ivy Platt, of Kilgetty Lane, Stepaside occurred at West Wales General Hospital after a short stay on June 2nd. She was 88.

Originally from Lancashire, she was a former footwear machinist, rising to forewoman.

Her interests were football, reading, and holidays, and she was a member of the Golden Age Club, luncheon club and Pembroke Choir. She went to Stepaside Methodist Chapel.

Family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Sandra (daughter); Tom (son-in-law); Janette (granddaughter); Mark (husband of Janette); Georgia (great granddaughter); Gladys (sister); Susan (niece); John (niece's husband); Margaret and Frank (cousin and husband).

The funeral was held at Stepaside Methodist Chapel followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, and was officiated by Rev A. Gregory.

The bearers were Paul Hay, Graham Thomas, Terry Brace and Arthur Evans.

There were family flowers only with donations in lieu for Stepaside Methodist Chapel to E. C. Thomas and Son, Archways, Green Plains, Stepaside, who also carried out the funeral arrangements.

Mrs M. E. Finch

Pembroke Dock

The death of Martha Elizabeth (Betty) Finch, nee Phillpotts, occurred on June 8th at Withybush hospital after a short stay.

She lived in Laws Street Pembroke Dock and was formerly from Shropshire. She was 84.

A native of Whitehill, Cresselly, she left school and had various jobs including looking after the children of Rev and Mrs Thomas at Carew vicarage.

After her marriage she moved to Church Stretton with her husband, where she took on the job of cook at the Grove House Nursing Home in Shropshire.

She was a member of the women's section of the Royal British legion, Derby and Joan club and various other clubs.

Her interests included her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Patrick Finch.

Family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Susan and Graham Parsell (daughter and son-in-law); Nicola and Steve (granddaughter and partner); Mark and Pearl (grandson and wife); Danielle, Rachelle, Rhys, Nathan, Abigail, Eleanor (great-grandchildren); Reg and Margaret (brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Ivy (sister-in-law); Leslie, Sharon, Esther, Rebecca, David, David and Tom (nephews and nieces); Muriel, Kathleen, Peter (cousins); David (friend), and many friends and neighbours.

Unable to attend was Harry (brother-in-law).

The funeral was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, officiated by Rev Thelma Barber.

The bearers were Mark Parsell, Steve Colbeck, Leslie Finch and Rod Jones.

Her ashes will be interred in the grave of her late husband at Church Stretton, Shropshire at a later date.

Mr B. R. Williams

Haverfordwest

The death occurred at his home on June 8th of Barry Rhys Williams, of Fleming Crescent, Haverfordwest. He was 47.

A native of Haverfordwest, he enjoyed music, electronics and movies.

Family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Mark, Samantha and Kylie Williams (son and daughters); Sylvia Williams (mother); Maureen and David Richards (sister and brother-in-law); Christine and Derek Bushell (sister and brother-in-law); Graham and Lisa Williams (brother and sister-in-law); Wayne, Paul, Jenny, Toni, Nathan, Joshua and Ella (nephews and nieces).

The funeral was held at St Martin's Church, Haverfordwest, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn. Canon C. Bowen officiated.

The bearers were Graham Williams, David Richards, Derek Bushell, Wayne Bushell, Paul Bushell and Jonathan Owen.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Roy Folland and son, Haverfordwest.

Mr B. Williams

Lord of Trellys Goodwick

Basil Williams died at home, aged 96.

He was brought up in Llandudno before his family moved to Manchester after the First World War.

When he was 14 he joined Manchester United Football Club as a boot boy and trained with the team until he broke his leg playing tennis. He then went to work as a furniture salesman and worked his way up until he was a director. He married his first wife Flo in 1936. During Second World War, he became a bomb disposal expert in Derbyshire.

He took early retirement in the 1960s, and moved to his holiday home in Ibiza. He moved back to Wales in the late 1960s and settled at Ty Canol, Cefn near Fishguard.

He pursued his interest in veteran and vintage cars and became the president of the Pembrokeshire Vintage Car Club and was frequently seen on the London to Brighton Run.

Flo died in 1981 and he was supported through this difficult time by close friends Walter and Janet.

In 1989 he met Jini who became his second wife. Basil and Jini were wonderfully happy together, despite Basil's failing health in the last few years.

They eventually settled in Goodwick where he spent many happy hours watching detective programmes, sport and walking on the balcony. He always kept his sense of humour, alert mind and a twinkle in his eye.

In accordance with his wishes, his body went to medical research and there was no funeral.

The memorial walks were well attended and three Williams pear trees were planted.

Mrs D. E. McNamara

Narberth

There was a large gathering of family and friends at the funeral of Delphine McNamara, who died at Blaenmarlais Care Home on June 8th, aged 82, after a lengthy period of ill health.

Born in Hertfordshire, she and her late husband Jeffrey moved to Pembrokeshire in 1949 and began married life at Roose Ferry Farm.

They later added Newton Farm to their farming business and then went on to successfully develop Oakwood Park.

Always full of life and fun, she touched the hearts of everyone who met her.

She adapted to the demanding role of farmer's wife with ease and later contributed greatly to the family team at Oakwood.

She learnt to fly when she was in her 50s and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

The principal mourners were: Robert, William and Paddy McNamara (sons); Francis Rawsthorne (daughter) and families; James, Giles, Samantha, Tom and Max McNamara and Peter, Kim and Melanie Rawsthorne (grandchildren).

Peter Rawsthorne gave a eulogy at the service, paying tribute to her many achievements and praising her as a wonderful role model at the head of the family.

The funeral was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth and was officiated by Canon Derek Evans.

The bearers were Peter Rawsthorne, James, Giles, Tom and Max McNamara (grandchildren) and Alain Stalker.

Mr T. R. Downes

Dale

Thomas Robert Downes, of Jubilee Villas, Dale, died at Withybush hospital on June 22nd. He was 66.

A native of Leominster, during his working life he was a chief petty officer, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, and retired in 1996 when he was a coastguard officer in Milford Haven.

His main interests were cycling (John o'Groats to Lands End), which he did many times for charity.

Family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Margaret E. Downes (wife); Margaret and Ray Robinson (sister and brother-in-law); Sarah Downes (daughter).

The funeral took place at St James Church, Dale, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn Crematorium.

Rev Dennis and Sian Wight officiated and the bearers were Keith John, Brian Davies, Tim Hibbert and Lyn Jones.

There were family flowers only with donations in lieu for the RNLI to Lyn Jones, Briar Bank, Dale.

Mrs B. Price

Milford Haven

Betty Price (nee Powell) died, aged 83, at her home in Milford Haven on April 27th.

She had lived most of her life in Haverfordwest when she ran the family shop (Powells Grocers) on St Thomas Green with her parents, Arthur and Mary.

After their death the family moved to Hawthorn Rise, where she ran a Bed and Breakfast with Bobby, her husband. When Bobby died after 55 years of marriage she moved to a retirement flat in Elizabeth Venmore Court, where she lived until her death.

The residents made a donation on her behalf to the RNLI at Little Haven.

The family left to mourn are: Dr Dean and Lyn Price; Russell and Judith Price; Lucy, Robin, Timothy and Anthony (grandchildren); Jonathan and Joanne (step-grandchildren); Oliver (step-great-grandchild) and Pam Snook and June Ireland (cousins).

Mr R. M. Williams

Fishguard

The funeral took place on June 7th at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, of Richard Meurig Williams, of Heol Glyndwr, Fishguard, who died at his home on June 1st.

The service was officiated by Rev Menna Brown.

The principal mourners were: Eveleen (wife); Neville and Allison (son and daughter-in-law); Elaine and Stephen (daughter and partner); Wayne (son); Eyron and Denise (cousins); John and Shirley (cousins); Lloyd (cousin); Lynne (cousin); Auntie Lil (aunt); Waldo (cousin) plus relatives, friends and neighbours too numerous to mention.

Unable to attend was Morfydd (cousin).

The bearers were John, Lloyd and Eyron (cousins), Keith, Roy and Michael (friends).

Mrs E. Phillips

Tiers Cross (formerly of Steynton)

The death occurred on May 20th at Torestin Nursing Home of Ethel Phillips. She was 93.

She was originally from Hilton House and West Hill Farm, Steynton, and was a housewife. She was predeceased by her husband George Phillips.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Raymond (son); David and Lynne (son and daughter-in-law); Sarah and Clive Woolmer, Joanne and David Bowie, Nicola and Craig Davies, David and Paul (grandchildren); Bethan, Lucy, Jack, Ellie, Liam and Ruby (great-grandchildren); Nesta Watts (sister-in-law); Wilfred (brother-in-law) and Margaret Phillips, plus nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

The funeral service was held at Hamilton Court followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn, Narberth, and was officiated by Paul Bartlett.

Mr E. J. Taylor

Milford Haven

The death occurred on May 30th at Fairfield Nursing Home, Johnston, of Ernest John Taylor. He was 97.

Originally from Milford Haven, he was a fish porter at the docks and a part-time window cleaner. He retired in 1976.

He was a keen point-to-point follower and horseracing fan and acted as a tic tac man for bookmakers at point-to-point races.

He was predeceased by his wife Nina Taylor.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Doris Worrit (sister); Ronald Taylor (brother); Beryl Taylor (sister); Billy Taylor (son); George and Wendy Taylor (son and daughter-in-law); Beryl and Alan Hare (daughter and son-in-law); Eric Taylor (son); John and Carol Taylor (son and daughter-in-law); Margaret and Rodney Barker (daughter and son-in-law), ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

The funeral was held at Priory Road Methodist Church followed by interment at Milford Cemetery.

Miss E. M. West

Pembroke Dock

The death occurred at Apley Lodge, Pembroke Dock on May 26th, of Enid Mary West. She was 86.

She was originally from Cardiff and trained as a nursery nurse and professionally registered children's nanny.

After working as a nanny she returned to nursing in children's nurseries in Bristol and Surrey.

Miss West became the assistant matron of the Surrey home and in 1970 returned to Wales as matron of the Ammanford children's home where she worked for many years. The home was closed at the end of the 1970s and she returned to the family home in Pembroke Dock, where she looked after and nursed her mother for a number of years.

She took an active interest in the Pembroke Dock Friendship Federation where she worked as a voluntary treasurer, and was also a member of the local keep fit club.

Enid's club and social activities, together with her association with St John's Church, brought her into contact with a large circle of friends.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Colin West (brother); Elaine West (sister-in-law); Eric and Cecily Haddon (cousin); Lois and Leon Dale (cousin).

The service was held at St John's Church, Pembroke Dock, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn, Narberth, and was officiated by Rev Thelma Barber.

The bearers were Paul Hay, Stewart Treharne, Terry Brace and Arthur Evans.

Donations may be sent for the NSPCC to Graham Thomas, 34 Charles Thomas Avenue, Pembroke Dock.

Mrs M. E. Morgan

Haverfordwest

Megan Eluned Morgan, of Gloucester Terrace, Haverfordwest, died after a four-week stay at Withybush hospital on May 27th. She was 85.

Originally from Gelly, she was a cleaner at the Old County Hospital and also ran the Northgate bakery with her late husband John Morgan, who predeceased her six years ago.

Her main interests were her family, playing bingo, reading and watching tv.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Tony Hawkins (son); Rosemary Thomas (daughter); Debbie, Beverly, Ann Marie; Caroline, Lesley Anne (grandchildren); Nikki, Jessica, Emma, Leah, Miles, Kieran, Callum, Claire, Daniel, Shelley, Shannon and Tiegan (great-grandchildren); David Thomas (son-in-law); Paul (grandson-in-law) plus relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The service was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium and was officiated by Canon C. Bowen.

Mr M. Artingstall

Begelly

The death occurred on May 30th at Withybush hospital after a short illness, of Michael Artingstall, of New Road, Begelly. He was 70.

Michael was born in Middleton, Lancashire. He trained as a fitter with aeroplane company AVRO, where he was working when he met Jean. They married 12 months later and lived in Middleton, where David and Mandy were born.

The family moved to Bury and ran a newsagents for 18 years, and he was president of the Bury and district federation of newsagents for seven years. He was also a member of Middleton amateur operatic society for 25 years.

The family moved to the Bay View Hotel, Saundersfoot, in 1982 and after 19 years retired to New Road, Begelly.

He enjoyed pool, playing for the Stepaside Inn, and RAOB Club in Kilgetty.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Jean Artingstall (wife); David and Mandy (son and daughter-in-law); Helen and Adrian (Goz) (daughter and son-in-law); James, Daniel, Sam and Bethan (grandchildren).

A large congregation attended the funeral at St Issells Church, Saunders-foot on June 14th, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn, Narberth. Canon Michael Buller officiated and the bearers were David Artingstall (son); Adrian Gosnold (son-in-law); James Artingstall and Daniel Gosnold (grandsons); Timothy and Andrew Artingstall (nephews).

There were family flowers only with donations for ward ten, Withybush Hospital to E. C. Thomas and Son, Archways, Green Plains, Stepaside, who also carried out the funeral arrangements.

Mrs I. I. Hughes

Hundleton

Iris Hughes died on May 23rd at her daughter's home in Pembroke Dock. She was 80.

Iris was born in Kidwelly and moved to Hundleton as a child where she met her husband Trevor, who predeceased her.

They married on her 18th birthday and raised five children. They lived in the vicinity of Hundleton and Castlemartin before moving to Pembroke Dock in the mid sixties.

Her life centred around her family and grandchildren.

Recently predeceased by her son David, she leaves to mourn: Diana (daughter); Gaynor (daughter-in-law); Philip and Angie (son and daughter-in-law); Kevin and Sue (son and partner); Marilyn and Chris (daughter and son-in-law); Andrew, Amanda, Tracy, Jenny, Joanne, Sam, Sally, Marcus, Carl, Lindsay, Nathan, Jordan, Sarah, Neil, Joanna, Cheryl, Alison, Richard, Jenny, Emma (grandchildren); 24 great-grandchildren; Nita, Winnie (sisters) and families; Clive and Cath (cousins) and family, and Billy Hughes (brother-in-law).

The funeral was held on Tuesday, June 3rd, at St David's Church, Hundleton, and was officiated by Rev Cox.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by John Roberts and Son.

Mrs G. Aries

Pembroke Dock

The death of Gwen Aries, of Sycamore Street, Bufferland, Pembroke Dock, occurred on May 27th. She was 65.

Originally from Newport, Pembrokeshire, she worked as a barmaid and cleaner at the Caledonia and Three Crowns.

Her interests revolved around her children and grandchildren, and she also enjoyed baking and bingo.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Malcolm, Nicky, Ashleigh, Kasey, Phoebe and Stella (son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren); Martin, Tammie, Michelle and Jamie (son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren); Sharon, Ray, Sean, Ray, Joshua, Charlie, Brandon and Amber (daughter, partner and grandchildren); Gareth, Louisa, Sophie, Chloe and Gareth Jnr (son, partner and grandchildren); Jason (son); Enid Harries (sister); Anne, Carol and David (nephew and nieces), plus other relatives too numerous to mention.

The service was held at Bethany Church followed by interment at Llanion cemetery. Rev Roger Hart officiated.

The bearers were Dean Robbins, Nicky Robbins, Robert Kitts and Dai Carter.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by E. C. Thomas and Son, Pembroke Dock.

Ms G. S. Jones MBE

Pembroke Dock

Glenys Sheila Jones MBE, of Trinity Road, Pembroke Dock, died on May 30th in her daughter Carolyn's arms in Bridgewater, where she was on holiday.

Born and brought up in Warren, near Pembroke, she was the youngest of five children of Artie and Nellie Hughes, of Cold Comfort'.

Her many jobs included working in the handkerchief factory, Castlemartin Naffi and camp.

In later years Glenys worked tirelessly for the landing craft gun and flak association, and was instrumental in ensuring a memorial was erected to the 79 people who perished after the sinking of LCG 15 and 16 and also rescuers from HMS Rosemary. An annual remembrance service is held at Freshwater West in April. Glenys was awarded an MBE in 2000.

Glenys was also an active member of Pembroke Dock Derby and Joan and attended the friendship club.

Glenys was looking forward to the arrival of her first great-grandchild, due in June.

She was keen gardener, loving mother, grandmother and friend, and will be greatly missed by all.

The funeral took place on June 6th at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, and was officiated by Bishop Ivor Rees, Rev Martin Cox and Ronald Gwyther.

The bearers were Louise and Neil Harries, Gavin and Nathan Way, Jo and Michelle Roos (grandchildren). A poem was read by Suzanne Roos (daughter).

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Judith and Keith Harries, Carolyn and Phil Way, Suzanne Roos (daughters and sons-in-law); Louise and Neil Harries, Gavin and Nathan Way, Jo and Michelle Roos (grandchildren); Iris Gough, Bill Hemming, Jenny Rowlands and many relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mr B. G. V. John

Pembroke

Benjamin George Vincent John, of Milford House, Golden Hill, Pembroke, died on June 7th at Withybush Hospital with his family at his side. He was 85.

Mr John was well known in Pembrokeshire's farming community and retired in 1988 after farming at Windsor Hill Farm, Pembroke for many years.

Predeceased by his wife Glenys, the family left to mourn are: Margaret (daughter); George and Molly (son and daughter-in-law); Heather and Colin (daughter and son-in-law); Aled, Catrin, Rhys and Owen (grandchildren); Mary and John (sister-in-law and brother-in-law) and relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Unable to attend were Mary (sister), Martin and Mary (nephew and wife) and Elsie (sister-in-law).

The funeral was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, officiated by Chancellor A. Williams.

The bearers were David Harries, Richard Jones, Glyn Jones, Philip Mathias, Lloyd Norris and John Kilcoyn.

There were family flowers only, with donations in lieu for The Paul Sartori Foundation and Macmillan Nurses, to John Roberts and Son, 51 Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, who also carried out the funeral arrangements.

Mrs W. M. Bevan

Johnston The death occurred on June 8th at Rostley Care Home of Winifred Mary Bevan. She was 93 and originally from Brickhurst Park, Johnston.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Granville and Christine (son and daughter-in-law) and Tracey (granddaughter).

The funeral was held at St Peter's Church, Johnston followed by interment at Pope Hill Cemetery and was officiated by Rev G. Lloyd.

The bearers were Mark Saunders, Malcolm Davies, William Thomas and Emlyn Swales.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Roy Folland and Son, Haverfordwest.

Wiseman's Bridge

The funeral took place on June 16th of Gwen Grecian, of Duncow Hill Cottage, Wiseman's Bridge, who died, aged 71 on June 10th.

Originally from the Wirral she was a research biochemist, science teacher and caravan site operator, from which she retired in 2006.

She enjoyed gardening, needlework of all kinds and cooking.

She was predeceased by her husband, Les Grecian.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were: Lynn Collins (daughter); Nick Collins (son-in-law); Peter Collins (grandson); Gemma Collins (granddaughter) and John Harvey (brother) and Liz Carter.

The funeral was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium and was officiated by Rev Robin Webley. The bearers were Phil Griffiths, Darren Williams, Terry, Paul Hay.

There were family flowers only with donations if desired for West Wales General Hospital, Carmarthen to E. C. Thomas and Son, Archways, Green Plains, Stepaside, who also carried out the funeral arrangements.
